The PowerMac G5 "Dual Core" Series uses memory of the specification: DDR2-4200, 533Mhz, Latency 4-4-4-12 , Non-ECC, Unbuffered, 1.8V, 240pin DIMM, installed in pairs. This kit contains Two 2GB DIMMs. Ramjet only carries "Single Rank" 2GB DIMMs, they allow you to install 8 of them into your G5 to reach 16GB. The cheaper Dual Rank 2GB DIMMs limit your machine to just running 4 DIMMs maximum (Dual Rank DIMMs take up the addressing for two slots per DIMM). These DIMM modules are specifically designed and SPD configured for the "Dual Core" PowerMac G5 DDR2 model.
