iMac Fall 2012
DDR3-1600Mhz
The latest release Fall 2012 iMac runs DDR3-1600Mhz memory. The system maximum is 32GB in the 27" model (4x 8GB modules.) It is important to note the 21" iMac 13,1 is not user upgradeable.
Non-Stacked IC's: Ramjet uses a Non-stacked module for the 4GB and 8GB DDR3-1600 module for the iMac. The cheaper stacked IC variety of 4GB SO-DIMM draws more power, which increases heat and can cause increased errors. Ramjet ONLY uses premium non-stacked chips.
