External Firewire 400 Hard Drives

An external hard drive is the perfect way to augment your Mac's built-in storage. External hard drives are also an excellent way to create a safe back-up archive for your important files. Your drive will appear as a second drive icon on your desktop. All cables are included.

Your drive will arrive with Mac HFS+ formatting, and is fully compatible with with either OSX 10.0.3 and newer or classic MacOS 8.5-9.2.x.

You can manage it exactly like your internal drive, through the "Disk Utility" located in your "Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities/" folder. Multiple drives can be combiined into a RAID array, using OSX's Disk Utility, for large scale network storage.

Ramjet external drives use high-performance Maxtor, 7200RPM, 16mb Buffer drives.
