iBook G4:
The newer iBook G4 uses the DDR SDRAM memory type. There is one upgrade slot, which adds to the 128mb-512mb that is soldered on the logicboard. The system maximum is 1.15-1.5G.

iBook G3:
The original "clamshell" iBook G3 uses the SDRAM memory type. The White iBook G3 can use the 512mb module, and the original "clamshell" iBook can only use 256mb and smaller SO-DIMMs.

The original "clamshell" Tangerine and Blueberry iBook have 32mb soldered on mainboard. The subsequent "clamshell" models (Lime, Blueberry, and Graphite) have 64mb soldered on the mainboard. The White iBook has 64-128mb installed on the motherboard. Consult your Apple System Profiler for your exact configuration information.
