iMac Intel

Motherboard RAM: 0mb
Sockets: 2
200pin, SO-DIMM, DDR2-667 or DDR2-800

Overview:The iMac Intel represents a great leap forward in processor power with the switch away from the PowerPC to the Intel processor. The memory is also a faster type of DDR2 running at 667Mhz or 800Mhz. To maximize memory performance, it is recommended that memory SO-DIMMs be installed in pairs in the iMac Intel. Pairing will result in a small but measurable speed improvement.

667Mhz VS. 800Mhz: To find out whether your iMac uses 667Mhz or 800Mhz SO-DIMMs, go to the Apple Menu on the top left corner of your screen, and select "About This Mac." The Memory line will read either 667Mhz or 800Mhz speed RAM.

2Gig Single Module: The 2Gig Single module can only be used in the Intel Core2 Duo, not the Intel Core Duo. The all white iMac Intel Core2 models can use a maximum of 3Gigs, and the newer Aluminum iMac Intel with the black Apple can run up to 4Gigs.
