Mac Mini Memory for Model 3.1
Mac Mini Early to Late 2009, Late 2009 Server
DDR3-1066Mhz
The 2009 Mac Mini has two memory slots. It is preloaded from the factory with two 1GB or 2GB DDR3-1066 SO-DIMMs. You can install a maximum of 8GB with the Ramjet 8GB kit (4GB x 2 SO-DIMMs.) The 8GB upgrade requires the Apple Firmware Update 1.2 released in August 2009.
Non-Stacked IC's: Ramjet uses a Non-stacked module for the DDR3-1066 module for the Mac mini. The cheaper stacked IC variety of SO-DIMM draws more power, which increases heat and can cause increased errors. Ramjet ONLY uses premium non-stacked chips.
1066 vs. 1067? The correct name for this memory is DDR3-1066. But since it runs at 1066.66Mhz, the Apple System Profiler reports it as 1067Mhz.
DDR3-1066, 1066Mhz, PC3-8500, CAS Latency 7, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, 1.5V, 204pin SO-DIMM.
