iMac Memory for Models 5.1 and 6.1

The iMac 5,1 and 6,1 can have a system maximum of 4GB of memory installed, but only 3GB will be fully addressed. Installing 4GB of RAM utilizing the 2x2GB configuration is the best configuration for this machine as it will give your machine a slight boost from the 4th GB, and you will enjoy a boost from installing matched pair modules. It is important to note this does not include the iMac 5,2.

Non-Stacked IC's: Ramjet uses a Non-stacked module for the DDR2-667 module for the iMac. The cheaper stacked IC variety of SO-DIMM draws more power, which increases heat and can cause increased errors. Ramjet ONLY uses premium non-stacked chips.
