2012 Mac miniApple has designed the 2012 Mac mini to be user-upgradable. You can install a pair of dimms in the Mac mini, either in 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB of RAM. We do not recommend that users attempt to upgrade their hard drive unless they are accustomed to tinkering. You can order a Mac mini with 500GB HDD, 1TB HDD, or you can go the route of an SSD or Fusion Drive. We don't see the point in that since the Mac mini is generally used for a more cost conscious approach.
